Planning Inquiry into Proposed Amendments to the Island Development Plan - Extended Initial Representations

Closed 31 Mar 2025

Opened 4 Feb 2025

Overview

Following the closing of the Initial Representations Phase, the Development and Planning Authority (D&PA) has undertaken an extended period of consultation and has revised many of the Proposed Amendments to the Island Development Plan.

The Inquiry is seeking public feedback on these revisions only.

Please note that:

  • No more feedback on the original proposed amendments can be accepted.
  • Feedback can not yet be accepted on the D&PA's responses to the initial representations received so far.
  • There will be a chance for you to provide feedback on these in the "Further Representations Phase" (On a date to be confirmed, following the Guernsey General Election).

All comments and feedback received from the public during the period of “initial representations” held in the summer of 2024, will still stand and will be considered by the independent Planning Inspector. However, should you wish to make a new representation (or update your representation) to the extent that it relates to the topics covered by the February 2025 Revised Draft Plan Amendments, you have an opportunity to do so.

Below are two documents to aid you in making your representation:

Island Development Plan Summary Document

Appendix 1: Revised Draft Plan Amendments (Including the revised Proposals Maps)

Only representations made relating to the revisions proposed in these two documents can be accepted in this phase.
